Centre St-Ambroise (5080-A St-Ambroise) is Montreal 's South-West cultural hub, located at McAuslan Brewing situated on the historic Lachine Canal. The Centre St-Ambroise hosts regular events including music shows, film screenings, vernissage events, as well as workshops, lectures, private events and parties, and of course, beer tastings!

Nominated for “Best Live Show Room” in Montreal at the 2008 SMIM Awards (Salon de la Musique Indépendante de Montréal), the Centre St-Ambroise has quickly become a popular venue in the Montreal music scene. Housed in a room finished with beautiful old wood (which creates incredible acoustics!), the Centre provides an intimate atmosphere for artists to perform for their fans. And with plenty of fresh award-winning beer straight from the brewery next door, it is a favorite among artists and concertgoers alike!
St-Ambroise Music Program
As part of the St-Ambroise Music Program, which gives away $10,000 in cash to musicians, artists who perform at the Centre St-Ambroise are automatically eligible for the program, which will award 1 Grand Prize of $5,000 plus five runner-up prizes of $1,000 each.
We understand how difficult it can be as a working musician, so the $10,000 in cash prizes is our way of supporting artists and bands.
Centre St-Ambroise has gallery space to offer the Montreal artistic community. With roughly 800 square feet available on 2 floors, the Centre can be rented out weekly or monthly by individual artists, photographers, artist collectives, student groups, and the community at large.
Housed in a beautiful historic building, the Centre St-Ambroise offers a unique space for artists to display their work and host vernissage events. We offer individual, group and student rates.
